General FAQs
Shipping & Ordering
We ship to most countries. Check the “Country” drop down on the check out page to view the full list of destinations. As a reminder, you’ll want to make sure that your smartphone’s voice assistant (Siri or Google Assistant) is available in your preferred language in your country before purchasing ORII.
We group customers’ orders into weekly shipments. You’ll receive an update via email when your order has been packed and shipped.
Delivery takes between 10-20 days depending upon your location. After your order has been shipped, will provide your shipping information including your tracking number which will provide a clearer idea of when you can expect to receive your delivery. Because our products are shipped internationally they may be screened by your country's customs agency, if this does happen it may cause further delays to the final delivery time of your order. You will be able to see if your order has been delayed by using the tracking provided. Once we have packed and shipped your order, these are the estimated shipping duration by destination:

Hong Kong: 1 - 2 days
United States: 10 - 15 days
Canada: 10 - 15 days
Europe: 10 - 20 days
Asia: 7 - 14 days
Africa: 10 - 20 days
We are doing our very best to accommodate all of our customers throughout the world. Understandably, customers may wish to request an express service, however, we’ve found these services to be prohibitively costly (approximately US$200) and would not recommend this. Please contact us via the feedback form on the “Support” page or if you have any further questions concerning shipping methods.
All sales are final. We accept returns or exchanges for product damaged in transit or if the incorrect product was shipped to you. You must email us within 7 days of receiving the product at to alert us of the damaged or incorrect product, and then return the product to us. Upon receipt of the incorrect or damaged item we will ship out a replacement.

The Ring
The ring has a 50 mAh battery that most conservatively delivers one hour of continuous listening time and 45 hours of standby time. Because ORII is designed specifically for those short phone calls and texts sprinkled throughout your day while you’re on the go, the 1 hour of listening time translates to more than a hundred interactions to get you through your day. We’re continually fine-tuning the firmware and bone conduction actuator to manage power consumption and will post updates on our progress.
Typical bone conduction products suffer from significant sound leakage because they drive sound through the skull using large actuators at high power output. There’s always a trade-off between how much power is used to create audio clarity and the amount of sound leakage generated. By putting ORII on the finger, we’ve been able to address leakage in a few ways: 1) Your finger gently closes off your ear canal, creating a better environment for listening to audio through your bones; 2) We transmit audio more directly to your cochlea and bypass the thick part of the skull bones; 3) This means we can use a smaller actuator at lower power to minimize sound leakage. ORII can deliver clear voice quality with minimal sound leakage. Check out our campaign page for the sound quality test.
Although ORII is designed to meet IPX7 water resistance testing, we don’t recommend wearing it when showering or swimming. ORII can resist immersion in 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes, practically speaking this means that ORII is splash proof, so you can wash your hands, get caught in the rain, and get sweat on the ring with no worries.
There are currently four different ORII colors available for purchase: Stardust Silver, Armor Red, Space Grey, and Dark Night.
Each ORII comes with ten interchangeable ring sizes in each box to ensure you achieve the ideal fit on your index finger. We offer US ring sizes 4-13. If you are unsure whether these sizes will fit you, you may follow the following steps to measure your ring size:

Step 1: Print the Ring Sizing Guide out on an A4 size paper [the US doesn’t sell A4 paper], choose “fit to paper” in your print settings [is it “set to print at 100%?]
Step 2: Measure the ring size of your index finger; you’ll want the ring tight enough so that it will not rotate around your finger, but loose enough to be comfortable.
Step 3: If your index finger does not fit US ring size 4 - 13, please contact us through the feedback form or email.
Your ORII package includes a compact charging case and cable that is easy to use with any of your existing USB chargers.
ORII has not been tested as an assistive listening device, but we get this question a lot because we’re using bone conduction. Bone conduction technology has been used to help individuals with conductive hearing loss, where an obstruction prevents sound waves from passing to the inner ear. Bone conduction can bypass any blockage in the outer or middle ear by sending vibrations to the inner ear directly via the bone.

How it Works
Pair ORII to your phone via Bluetooth then use your voice assistant (such as Siri or Google Assistant) to handle simple daily tasks including phone calls, texts, and setting reminders. Here’s how it works: touch your ear, then single press the button on the side of the ring; you’ll hear your voice assistant beep, and simply give your voice command: “Call mom at home.” “Send email to [name] about [subject] and say [message].” “Schedule a meeting with [name] tomorrow at [time].” “Set a reminder for tomorrow.”
Bone conduction is a natural way of hearing and we actually experience it every day; when we speak, our ears are picking up sound via our skull. Trying covering up your ears and saying something. Congrats—you’ve just tried bone conduction! Traditional headphones use speakers to vibrate the air to send to your eardrums. Bone conduction uses transducers that convert electrical signals into vibrations that travel through bone and directly into the inner ear, bypassing the eardrums. This is why bone conduction—when applied properly—can offer superior audio quality even in noisy environments. The first time you listen to someone’s voice through your finger, it’s unlike anything you've tried before. People have described the experience as everything from having a voice in your head, to feeling like a spy on a mission because you can only hear it when you touch your ear. The vibrations on the finger are very light, almost like a tickle, which you get used to very quickly.
We’ve found the easiest way to use ORII is by gently pressing the soft part outside the ear canal (the tragus) while using your finger to close off your ear canal. We actually don’t recommend sticking your finger in your ear. Everyone’s ear is a little different, so take a minute to experiment with finger placement.
ORII pairs to your phone using Bluetooth and is as private and secure as a smart speaker or a Bluetooth headset you may already own. The ring does not record and store any voice data.
One of our team members wears an Apple Watch, and we have no issues connecting ORII at the same time.
To enhance your ORII experience, we’ve created a short video that shares some tips on finger placement: click here. We have found that a slight change in finger positioning could make a tremendous difference in the sound quality of your ORII.
The video shows how to position the microphone towards your mouth as you speak, and this can help with voice pick up. One other suggestion is to try wearing the ring on your other hand, and see if that helps with pick up. Sometimes the way we hold our hand to our ear can ever-so-slightly improve sound pick up.

For Android users, you could also try switching the mic on your ORII app for clearer mic pick up. To do this, head over to Settings on your ORII app, and click on Left mic, it should switch to Right.
To minimize loud audio, we recommend adjusting your volume depending on your environment. For example, if you are using ORII while walking on the street, you might need to bump up the volume, whereas in a quieter indoor environment, say a meeting room, you should be able to lower the volume and still hear the audio. Do note the sizing of the ring too, as you do need a size that fits you well in order for the bone conduction audio to transmit properly.
If the ring is really tight on your finger, you can consider loosening one size. It should hug your finger and not roll around, but at the same time definitely shouldn’t feel like a tourniquet: must keep that blood flowing!
If you find your ORII app crashing, check on your Google Play Store/ App Store for the latest app update. We have included new fixes for this bug in the latest update, so this should no longer be an issue.
If you do not receive your notifications on your ORII, follow the steps below:

1. Open your phone Settings
2. Find Notifications
3. Locate ORII under Notification
4. Switch the Notification off, and then turn it on again
